About Callanderska Gården Schweizeriet
Just around the corner from Värdshuset is our "Schweizeri." A "Schweizeri" is a historical term for a charming café or pastry shop, often offering service in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The word dates back to the 19th century, when "Schweizeris" became popular gathering places where people enjoyed coffee, pastries, and light meals.
Gripsholm's Schweizeri carries on this very tradition and offers an authentic Swiss atmosphere right in the heart of Mariefred. Here you can settle into a warm and welcoming atmosphere to enjoy freshly brewed coffee, delicious pastries, light meals, and select beverages. Just like Swiss cafés of yesteryear, our café is a natural place for relaxation, socializing, and a break from everyday life.
