Celebrate Midsummer in the small town idyll of Mariefred and enjoy a classic Midsummer buffet at Gripsholms Värdshus - right on the edge of Lake Mälaren, overlooking Gripsholm Castle.
Here we serve up homemade favorites such as pickled herring, salmon and whitefish roe tart, fresh potatoes boiled with dill, and smoked shrimp with aioli. We also offer herb-marinated roast beef made from grass-fed beef, asparagus salad with mustard vinaigrette, and Prästost cheese pie. Everything is served with freshly baked bread, whipped brown butter, and local cheeses.
Finish with strawberry cake, rhubarb pie with custard or lemon meringue tartlet - everything that belongs to a really good midsummer.
